The kinetic resolution of the racemic eucarvone complex 1 using chiral amine oxides 3a-c as oxidizing agents leads to optically enriched complexes 1 and 2 with up to 64% ee. The absolute configuration of the chiral complexes 1 and 2 is determined by their CD spectra.
