Zusammenfassung

In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden auf der Basis einer anthropometrischen Erhebung an 80000 Zwillingen neu errechnete Perzentilwerte für die gebräuchlichen Biometriemaße Geburtsgewicht, Länge und Kopfumfang ab der 21. vollendeten Schwangerschaftswoche vorgestellt. Das umfangreiche Datenmaterial stammt aus der bundesweiten Perinatalerfassung der Jahre 1990 - 1994/95. Diese Analyse ist die erste Einschätzung des Wachstums deutscher Zwillinge in Abhängigkeit vom Gestationsalter und ist möglicherweise sogar die bisher umfangreichste Untersuchung in Europa. Nur Zwillinge von deutschen Bürgerinnen (ansonsten keine Auslese) kamen in die Auswertung. Die Berechnung der Perzentilwerte erfolgte über die kumulierten Häufigkeiten. Die Notwendigkeit eigener Normwerte zur Beurteilung des somatischen Entwicklungsstandes von Zwillingen wird diskutiert. In einer nachfolgenden Publikation wird ein Vergleich der Zwillingsmaße mit denen der Einlinge vorgenommen.

Abstract

Twin gestations require different normal values than singleton pregnancies. The aim of this study was to define percentiles of birth weight, length and head circumference for twin pregnancies according to gestational age. 80 000 twins born at 21 to 42 weeks' gestation between 1990 and 1995 in Germany of German citizens were analyzed. Percentiles were calculated from cumulative frequencies. The advantage of twin-specific percentiles are discussed.
