Palladium-catalyzed amination on 4-chloro-3(2H)-pyridazinones has been achieved for the first time. Anilines, 2-aminopyridine and benzophenone imine react in good to excellent yields. Excess of alkali metal carbonate base is crucial for the reaction with lower catalyst loadings.
