Metachronous pancreatic metastases - uncommon late manifestation of the renal cell carcinoma.
Pancreatic metastases are uncommon late manifestations of renal cell carcinoma. We report on two female patients who had undergone tumour nephrectomy for organ confined renal cell carcinoma 8œ and 7œ years earlier and who were now diagnosed with isolated pancreatic metastases by ultrasonography during oncological follow-up exam. Diagnostic procedures and operative treatment of pancreatic metastases are briefly discussed.
