Zusammenfassung

Die weltweiten Computernetze ermöglichen heute einen schnellen und umfassenden Zugriff auf Informationen aller Art. In den einzelnen medizinischen Fachrichtungen und Spezialdisziplinen gibt es mittlerweile zahlreiche Informations- und Kommunikationsangebote. Diese nehmen auch für die Akupunktur stetig zu. Die Qualität und Seriosität der Informationsressourcen im Bereich der neuen Medien ist oft nur schwer einzuschätzen. Die vorliegende Arbeit informiert über die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten des Zugriffs auf akupunkturrelevante Inhalte im Internet und strukturiert das schwer überschaubare Angebot nach einzelnen Kategorien.

Summary

Worldwide computer networks provide fast and comprehensive access to many kinds of information. Different medical specialities can make use of numerous offers for informational and communicative purposes. Acupuncturists can fall back on a growing amount of digital resources as well. However, it is rather difficult to assess the quality and soundness of these offerings. This article discusses different possibilities to access relevant contents for acupuncturists in the internet. The vast number of different websites and other resources is categorized.

So far specific internet mailinglists and newsgroups present the only digital interactive offers concerning acupuncture. Passive resources are much more common as represented mainly by informational sites of professional acupuncture bodies, universities and private individuals. Moreover, a growing number of companies, e.g., those supplying software products for acupuncture uses the internet for e-commerce. One can expect that in the future image libraries and interactive tutorials on acupuncture will be provided as well on the internet.
