Obtaining Adequate Bowel Length for Colorectal Anastomosis

ABSTRACT

Obtaining adequate bowel length is crucial for a colorectal anastomosis. The strict surgical principles of preoperative planning, exposure, and operative techniques must be observed. These principles are discussed and illustrated.
