Zur Phänomenologie der Heautoskopie

Zusammenfassung

Das in der Literatur beschriebene Phänomen der Heautoskopie oder Spiegelhalluzination begegnet dem Arzt in der klinischen Praxis selten. Neben der Notwendigkeit, dieses Symptom einem nosologisch definierten Krankheitsbild zuzuordnen, ist es erforderlich, es als solches differenziert zu erfassen und gegen andere psychopathologische Zustände abzugrenzen. Anhand des von uns beschriebenen Falles einer atypischen Spiegelhalluzination versuchen wir nach einer kurzen Literaturübersicht eine psychopathologische Zuordnung vorzunehmen und darüber hinaus einen psychodynamisch orientierten Verstehensansatz aufzuzeigen, der auf der Annahme von abspaltenden und projektiven Mechanismen sowie vor weiterer Desintegration schützenden Funktionen beruht.

The Phenomenon of Heautoscopy - A Case Report of an Atypical Form

Heautoscopy is a well - known phenomenon in clinical psychopathology. Strictly speaking it is not a syndrome but a symptom and can be associated with different kinds of mental illness. Our case report deals with an atypical form of heautoscopy. We try to elucidate the essential qualities of our patient's disturbing mental experiences. In addition, we present a psychodynamic approach which seeks to explain the patient's experiences in terms of projection and protective functions.
