Transiente globale Amnesie

Zusammenfassung

Die transiente globale Amnesie (TGA) ist ein akut auftretendes und nach Stunden spontan remittierendes amnestisches Syndrom mit charakteristischer Psychopathologie und ohne wesentliche körperliche und neurologische Begleitsymptome. Die Ätiologie ist letztendlich unklar. In der funktionellen Bildgebung kann eine Perfusionsstörung der mediobasalen Temporalregion nachgewiesen werden. Beziehungen vor allem zur Migräne werden diskutiert.

Transient Global Amnesia

Transient global amnesia (TGA) is an acute amnestic syndrome remitting spontaneously with specific psychopathological features and without essential neurological deficits or other somatic symptoms. Etiology is unknown. By functional imaging techniques a disturbance of perfusion in the mediobasal parts of the brain can be demonstrated. An association between TGA and migraine is discussed.
