Zusammenfassung
Einleitung: Klinisch-radiologische Befunde regten uns an, Präpariersaalmaterial nach Gefäßvariationen
zu überprüfen.
Kasuistik: Bei einer 86-jährigen Verstorbenen fanden wir neben einer rechts der Aorta abdominalis
verlaufenden Vena cava inferior ein weiteres venöses Gefäß, das hinter der Aorta nach
kranial zieht - eine V. cava inferior sinistra. In Höhe des 1. Lendenwirbelkörpers
mündet dieses venöse Gefäß gemeinsam mit der V. renalis sinistra in die rechts verlaufende,
definitive V. cava inferior.
Schlussfolgerung: Genaue Kenntnisse über den Verlauf von Gefäßen und Varietäten sind Voraussetzung
für eine erfolgreiche Diagnostik und Therapie.
Abstract
Introduction: Clinical and radiological observations prompted us to analyze our gross dissectional
material on the occurrence of blood vessel varieties.
Case Report: In the case of a woman, who died at the age of 86, we found a large venous vessel
in addition to the inferior cava - a vena cava inferior sinistra. This accessory vein
extended cranially behind the abdominal aorta and joined the definitive inferior vena
cava together with the left renal vein at the level of the first lumbar vertebra.
Conclusions: Exact knowledge of the course of blood vessels and their varieties is the basis of
successful diagnosis and therapy.
