Flugreisen in modernen Passagierflugzeugen entsprechen auf Reiseflughöhe durch den verminderten Kabinneninnendruck einem Höhenaufenthalt von bis zu 2500 m Seehöhe. Daher sind gerade Patienten mit Lungenkrankheiten von der Frage betroffen, ob eine Flugreise oder der Aufenthalt an einem höhergelegenen (Urlaubs-) Ort mit gesundheitlichen Risiken behaftet sind.
