ABSTRACT
The Internet is dramatically changing healthcare delivery for patients, doctors, and the industry at large. More than 52 million Americans used the Internet to search for health information in the year 2000. For interventional radiologists, the Internet means rapid access to medical research, continuing medical information, cyber conferencing, and new models for patient consultation and interaction. This article provides an overview of these trends as well as a guide to useful Internet resources for the interventional radiologist.
