ABSTRACT
Live case transmissions have been an effective teaching modality for the past 25 years. Because of significant advances in media technology, live case transmissions have evolved from being used in small workshops to transcontinental displays. In order to maximize the benefit of these transmissions, the operator or producer must understand the objective of performing these cases. Interaction with the audience during the case is an excellent strategy to enhance interactive learning. The potential benefits of this educational experience are invaluable if it is done correctly.
