Die Radiosynoviorthese

Unter einer Radiosynoviorthese [2] versteht man die Wiederherstellung (Orthese) der Gelenkschleimhaut (Synovialis) durch die intraartikuläre Applikation von Radionukliden. In der Frühphase einer Gelenkentzündung hemmen radioaktive Substanzen entzündliche Synovialprozesse, wohingegen in der Spätphase das Voranschreiten destruktiver, knöcherner Gelenkprozesse unterbunden werden kann.

In Europa und insbesondere in Deutschland wird die Radiosynoviorthese bei einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher entzündlicher Gelenkerkrankungen wie z. B. bei Hämophilie, Chondromatose, Sakroiliitis [11] , Arthritis psoriatica oder pigmentierte villonoduläre Synovitis eingesetzt, wobei die Hauptanwendung zweifelsohne bei der rheumatoiden Arthritis besteht (Tab.
