Abstract
Wide scars on the back are a frequent esthetic problem after elliptical excisions. Therefore we examined a new technique of skin surgery, the Skin-Split-Plastik (SSP), in comparison to a conventional skin-operation technique (KO) in regard to scar widening, scar erythema and scar formation after 9 months (n = 7). Basically the Skin-Split-Plastik consists of an intact deep corial basis and a mobilisation in the middle corium. The SSP shows no significant advantage in regard to scar widening, scar erythema and scar formation in comparision to the control-group.
