Abstract
In this review the technique of fractionated examination of the transcranial magnetic
stimulation of the facial muscles (facial nerve) and the tongue (hypoglossal nerve)
is decribed. Typical findings of abnormal magnetic evoked potentials in brainstem
lesions and lesions of the peripheral cranial nerves are discussed.
Key words
Transcranial magnetic stimulation - brainstem - cranial nerves - facial nerve - hypoglossal
