Copper(I)-Catalyzed IntramolecularAddition of N-Chloroamides to Double Bonds;an Efficient Synthesis of Lactams from Unsaturated Amides

Abstract

Copper(I) salts catalyse the intramolecular addition of N-chloramides to carbon-carbondouble bonds leading to lactams in almost quantitative yield.
