ABSTRACT
A variety of problems in hearing instrument fittings can be avoided, provided an ear impression is taken properly, the earmold and earshell style and material selected are appropriate, and the earpiece is skillfully manufactured. This article explores issues related to the selection of the otoplastic style and material, the otoplastic fitting technique, and troubleshooting.
