Abstract
Postoperative wound infections are common problem of surgical therapy and can occur after surgical approaches. Inzidence of postoperative wound infections is influenced by individual and general risk factors like other simultaneous diseases and infections, operation time, surgical technique, preoperative shaving and drainage. Management of postoperative soft tissue infections comprises daily wound control, early stage adapted therapy including wound opening, debridement and wounddressing according wound infection individually. Aim of the therapy is prevention from severe sepsis and organ failure because of postoperative wound infection. Behind local therapy contemporary wound documentation is required.
