Fortschritte in der korrektiven Kieferchirurgie

Zusammenfassung

Der vorliegende Beitrag behandelt drei innovative Entwicklungen, die zum postoperativen Erfolg einer kieferorthopädisch-chirurgischen Therapie beitragen können. Im Einzelnen handelt es sich dabei um die Distraktionsosteogenese bei Rücklage des Oberkiefers und bei Engstand im unteren Zahnbogen, um resorbierbare Fixationen und um thrombozytenreiches Plasma (PRP).

Abstract

The discussion will focus on three areas that will assist in improving post-operative success in orthognathic surgical patient care. They are distraction osteogenesis related to maxillary deficiency and mandibular crowding, resorbable intra-maxillary fixation, and platelet rich plasma (PRP).
