Vordergründig scheinen die beiden Begriffe koronare Herzerkrankung (KHK) und Alter zwangsläufig miteinander verbunden zu sein. Zahlreiche epidemiologische Studien zeigen einen Zusammenhang zwischen der Entwicklung und dem Fortschreiten der KHK und dem Lebensalter der Patienten.
