ABSTRACT
This article outlines the complimentary role of radiofrequency ablation used in conjunction with radiotherapy. It defines the theory behind the treatment as well as specific clinical applications for the combination of this technique. It outlines the practical aspects of the combination therapy including the timing of the radiofrequency ablation versus radiotherapy, the fractionation of the doses, and the radiation doses.
