Kapselendoskopie

Die von Paul Swain entwickelte Kapselendoskopie (Given M2A ^TM, Given Imaging Ltd., Yoqneam, Israel) ist ein neuartiges, für die Patienten kaum belästigendes und daher sehr attraktives bildgebendes Verfahren zur Dünndarmdiagnostik [4]. Sie wird vornehmlich eingesetzt, um unklare gastrointestinale Blutungsquellen sowie tumoröse oder entzündliche Veränderungen zu entdecken.
