Abstract

Starting from 2-nitroadamantane, spiro[pyrrolidine-2,2′-adamantane] nitrones and nitroxides were synthesised as new lipophilic spin traps and spin labels. The reduction of nitrones and nitroxides offers a new route to aminoadamantane derivatives.
