Zusammenfassung
Geschildert wird der Fall einer 40-jährigen Patientin, die sich nach langjährigem rein vegetarischem Ernährungsverhalten aufgrund eines akuten Abdomens bei Phytobezoar-induziertem mechanischen Dünndarmileus einer chirurgischen Therapie unterziehen musste. Intra- und postoperativer Verlauf gestalteten sich komplikationslos, so dass die Patientin am 10. post-OP Tag entlassen werden konnte. Diskutiert wird neben einer kurzen historischen Betrachtung der Genese von Bezoaren im Allgemeinen, das diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen sowie die zu diesem Thema relevante Literatur.
Abstract
We report on the case of a 40-year-old woman with a long year history of vegetarian lifestyle, who experienced a phytobezoar induced acute abdomen due to a mechanic smallbowel ileus. After uncomplicated surgical treatment and post-OP course the patient could be discharged on post-OP day 10. Beside a description of the historical background, relevant diagnostic and therapeutic aspects are mentioned as well as a review of the relevant literature.
