Zusammenfassung
Die Läsion des Conus medullaris ist gekennzeichnet durch eine „Reithosenanästhesie“ in Verbindung mit Blasen-/Mastdarmstörungen; eine Schädigung der Cauda equina verursacht radikuläre motorische und sensible Ausfälle der unteren Extremitäten. Beide stellen einen operationsbedürftigen Notfall dar.
Abstract
Lesion of conus medullaris is characterized by perianal paraesthesia and malfunction of sphincter, whereas a cauda syndrome includes segmental neurological deficits of lower extremities. Both should be treated as emergencies.
