European Board of Paediatric Surgery
European Examination of Paediatric Surgery, Mannheim, 5th and 6th November 2004
It is with pride that this article is submitted to the European Journal of Paediatric Surgery, following the 100 % success rate in the most recent EBPS Examination.
Thanks must go to Professor Karl Ludwig Waag and his team, Ahmed Hadidi, Stuart Hosie and Stefan Loff, for the excellent hosting of the exams which were held in his clinic in Mannheim.
External examiners included Professor Alexander M. Holschneider, Professor Ole H. Nielsen, Mr. Stephen Potts and Mr. Sebastiano Cacciaguerra. Mr. Robert Carachi headed up the examination team as Exam Coordinator, supported by the Exam Secretary Rosemary Mackenzie and her Assistant Sharon Hosie.

Congratulations go to all the candidates, who proved themselves to be excellent clinicians by passing the exam well. This is the first time in a few years that all candidates have passed the high standard of the European Examination.
The seven candidates will become Fellows of the European Board of Paediatric Surgery, once the Board has accepted the Examination Team's recommendation for their inclusion on the Register in January 2005.
