Gruppentherapie bipolarer Störungen

Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit einer bipolaren Störung haben eine hohe Rezidivrate und ein beträchtliches Mortalitätsrisiko durch Suizid. Die starken psychosozialen Belastungen und Folgewirkungen der Erkrankung betreffen neben den Patienten in hohem Maße auch die Angehörigen. Die Sozialpsychiatrische Ambulanz des UKE hat als Universitätsambulanz bereits vor sieben Jahren ein spezielles therapeutisches Behandlungsangebot für Patienten mit bipolarer Störung entwickelt. Dessen Merkmale - Gruppensetting, strukturübergreifende Kontinuität, Kombination von psychoedukativen und psychotherapeutischen Interventionen - sind mit der Besonderheit der Erkrankung zu begründen. In diesem Artikel sollen die bisher eingesetzten Therapieverfahren, die ein Gruppensetting zur Behandlung der bipolaren Störung benutzen, kurz angerissen werden. Im letzten Teil des Artikels wird das Gruppenkonzept der sozialpsychiatrischen Ambulanz vorgestellt.
