Neue europäische Leitlinien zur kardiopulmonalen Reanimation

Einleitung

Am 28. November 2005 wurden die überarbeiteten Leitlinien zur kardiopulmonalen Reanimation (CPR) von internationalen Expertenkommissionen zeitgleich in Europa und in den USA in den Zeitschriften „Resuscitation” [1] und „Circulation” [2] veröffentlicht. Ziel der neuen Leitlinien ist es, deutlich mehr Menschenleben als bisher durch effektivere Erste Hilfe und Reanimationsmaßnahmen zu retten. In der mehr als 2-jährigen Vorbereitungsphase trafen sich die Experten des European Resuscitation Council (ERC), der American Heart Association (AHA) und weiterer Organisationen im Rahmen des multidisziplinären International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) mehrfach. Dabei wurden die bisherigen Leitlinien anhand der vorhandenen Literatur auf einem möglichst hohen Evidenzlevel international abgestimmt, wobei sich wichtige und teilweise gravierende Änderungen ergaben. Im Folgenden werden die grundlegenden Änderungen und Neuerungen in den einzelnen Themengebieten, basierend auf den Leitlinien des ERC, dargestellt.
