Zusammenfassung
Als sich im 19. Jahrhundert die Homöopathie in vielen Ländern etablieren konnte, war sie in Nordamerika besonders erfolgreich. Frühzeitig eroberte die neue Methode auch die Hochschulen. Dem rasanten Aufschwung folgte jedoch ein ebenso rascher Abstieg bis zur Bedeutungslosigkeit. Die Gründe hierfür werden diskutiert. Aus den damals begangenen Fehlern ergeben sich einige Konsequenzen für die Homöopathie heute.
Summary
When homoeopathy could establish itself in many countries during the 19th Century, it was especially successfull in North America. Here it instantly found access to the medical Colleges. After a rapid rise the sudden decline followed only some decades later. The reasons for both are discussed in this paper. Possible consequences fortoday's homoeopathy are proposed by the author.
