Zusammenfassung
Nach Mattei geht jede Krankheit auf eine Veränderung des Blutes, der Lymphe oder beider
zusammen zurück, und die Arzneimittel zerfallen im wesentlichen in zwei Gruppen, die
nach der jeweils überwiegenden Symptomatologie angewendet werden. "Die Wirkungen der
Elektromio-pathie bestehen im folgenden: ich konnte in der Flüssigkeit die pflanzliche
Elektrizität bestimmen", schrieb Mattei; die Pflanzen, aus denen er mit Hilfe geheimer
und mysteriöser Methoden einige Substanzen extrahierte, bestanden aus Gemüse und einigen
Gräsern. Bei den Theorien Matteis stöst man auf oberflächliche Vorstellungen von der
chinesischen Medizin, der Humoralbegriffe, von scheinbarem Brownianismus, entstellte
Hahnemannsche Prinzipien. Pius IX. ist der Begründer von Matteis Erfolg; für die Überlassung
eines strategisch wichtigen Schlosses machte er Mattei zum Grafen und übergab ihm
einen Flügel des Hospitals Santa Teresa in Rom. Mattei war kein Mediziner. Er war
sehr reich und gab unendlich viel Geld aus, um die Elektromio-pathie in der ganzen
Welt zu verbreiten; das brachte ihm ungeheure Gewinne ein. Die Angriffe auf die Elektromiopathie
waren unermüdlich und heftig, vor allem seitens der Homöopathen. Matteis Medikamente,
deren Formel geheim blieb, werden noch heute in Bologna von seinen Erben hergestellt.

or both, and the remedies can be mainly divided into two groups which are used in
the sense of the dominant symptomatology. "The effectiveness of the electromiopathy
is the following: I was able to determine in the liquid the vegetable electricity",
wrote Mattei; the plants from which hc was extracting by means of secret and mysterious
methods some substances were vegetables and a few blades of grass. Considering the
theory Matteis, one comes across some vague ideas about Chinese medicine, the humoral
ideas, of seeming Brownianism, distorted principles Hahnemanns. Pus IX. was the promotor
for Matteis success; for the cession of a strategically important cast-le, he gave
Mattei the title of an earl and a wing of the hospital Santa Teresa in Rome. Mattei
himself was not a physician. He was very rieh and spent an enormous amount of money
in Order to make the term electromiopathy known all over the world. This brought him
much profit. The attacks concerning the electromiopathy have been numerous und vehement
especially from the homeopathists. Matteis medicaments, the structural element of
which remained secret, are still produced nowadays by his inheritors in Bologna. R

los cuales son utilizados segun la sfntomatologia dominante. "Los efectos de la electromiopatia
constan en lo siguiente: yo pude determinar en el l'quido la electricidad vegetal",
escribio Mattei; las plantas de las cuales con ayuda de secretos y misteriosos metodos
extrajo algunas sustancias, eran verduras y algunas gramineas. En el estu-dio de las
teorias de Mattei nos encontramos con superficiales creencias de la medicina china,
los coneeptos humorales, prineipios de Hahnemann desfigurados por un aparente Brownianismo.
Pio IX. es el que fundo el exito de Mattei; para concederle un castillo importante
desde el punto de vista estrategico, lo nombr6 conde y le designo un departamento
del hospital Santa Teresa en Roma. Mattei no era medico. Era muy rico y gasto inmensas
cantidades de dinero para divulgar la electromiopatia en todo el mundo, esto le trajo
muchisimas ganancias. Los ataques a la electromiopatia eran violentos e incansables,
sobre todo de parte de los homneopatas. Los medicamentos de Mattei, cuya formula permanecio
secreta, son elaborados hasta hoy en dia en Bologna por sus herederos.
