Causticum: Ätzstoff oder Phantasieprodukt?

Zusammenfassung

Anhand eines historischen Überblickes wird gezeigt, wie widersprüchlich die Angaben über die chemische Zusammensetzung von Causticum Hahnemann sind. In genauer Anlehnung an Hahnemanns Arbeitsvorschrift wurden eigene Versuche unternommen und anschließend Analysen durchgeführt. Im Vergleich mit drei Präparaten der pharmazeutischen Industrie konnte gezeigt werden, daß keines dieser Produkte dieselben Inhaltsstoffe aufwies, wie sie im Causticum eigener Präparation gefunden wurden.

Summary

A review of the past research done to identify the chemical composition of Causticum Hahnemanni reveals that results were often controversial and that the researchers were faced with an unsolvable Situation. About 150 years after the first attempt, a Solution has finally been found. The first step was to produce the exact procedure originally employed and documented by Hahnemann. The analysis thereafter revealed other Compounds than in three specimens of industrially produced Causticum. These results raise much doubt about the reliability of producing homoeopathic remedies at industrial scale.
