Zusammenfassung
Anliegen Wir untersuchten, ob hinsichtlich der sozialen Situation Differenzen zwischen forensischen Patienten mit § 63 und § 64 StGB bzw. zwischen forensischen und allgemeinpsychiatrischen Patienten bestehen. Methode Als Datenquelle diente die BADO. Ergebnisse V. a. in den Bereichen Bildung, Beruf, Arbeits- und Wohnsituation zeigten sich schwierigere Ausgangsbedingungen bei den Maßregelvollzugspatienten, besonders bei den § 64-Klienten. Schlussfolgerungen Die Verbesserung sozialer Bedingungen gefährdeter Personen könnte sich auch zum Schutz vor Straftaten hilfreich erweisen.
Abstract
Objektive We wanted to know whether 1. we could find differences in the social situation between forensic patients with § 63 StGB (mentally disordered offenders detained for disciplinary measures) and § 64 StGB (addicted patients detained for withdrawal treatment) and 2. between forensic and other psychiatric patients. Methods Source of data was the Basic Documentation of the District Hospital Gabersee. Results Especially relating to education, employment and housing conditions the patients on detention for disciplinary punishment showed deficits. The living conditions of the § 64 patients were worse than those of the § 63 patients. Conclusions So to protect people from offences it could be helpful, to improve the education, employment and housing conditions for persons, who are endangered by psychiatric disorder.
