Abstract

A simple synthesis of 1-diethylphosphono-1,2-dihydroquinolines and 3-acetoxymethylquinolines from the reaction of several Morita-Baylis-Hillman acetates of 2-azidobenzaldehydes with triethyl phosphite has been described.
