On the occasion of Meinhard Classen's 70th birthday

This issue is dedicated to my predecessor and mentor Meinhard Classen - to follow him as Editor, and to be his pupil in many other aspects of medicine, gastroenterology and endoscopy, has always been a great honor and pleasure. My colleagues on the editorial team and I wish him all the best for his 70th birthday and are trying very hard to continue his tradition in the journal - our aim is to make him proud every time he has an issue in his hands and can see how his successors are continuing what he developed.
