Paraphilien und Sexualdelinquenz: Neurobiologische und neuropsychologische Aspekte

Die Autoren geben einen Überblick über den derzeitigen Wissensstand zu neurobiologischen, neuropsychologischen und endokrinologischen Befunden bei paraphilen Männern und Sexualstraftätern. Hinsichtlich hormoneller Regelkreise gibt es bei diesen Gruppen Hinweise auf eine Dysregulation in der Hypothalamus-Hypophysen-Gonaden-Achse. Erhöhte Testosteronwerte sind möglicherweise im Hinblick auf eine gesteigerte allgemeine Aggressionsneigung und eine erhöhte Tendenz zu dominanten sozialen Verhaltensstilen bedeutsam. Trotz vieler hypothetischer Annahmen gibt es kaum spezifische Untersuchungen zu Auffälligkeiten im Serotonin-Stoffwechsel bei Paraphilen bzw. Sexualstraftätern. Andere Studien ergeben Hinweise auf frontale und temporale zerebrale Dysfunktionen. Sexuelle Auffälligkeiten im Rahmen neurologischer Erkrankungen können als Folge von (unspezifischer) Enthemmung gewertet werden. Ein Problem vieler Studien sind kleine Fallzahlen und ungenaue diagnostische Beschreibungen der Stichproben. Faktoren wie Händigkeit, Intelligenz und sexuelle Orientierung bleiben oft unberücksichtigt. Die Einordnung bisheriger Ergebnisse in theoretische Modelle zur Ätiologie von Paraphilien/sexueller Delinquenz sollte daher kritisch und nur mit Vorsicht geschehen.
