Acupuncture with Long Dan Xie Gan Tang to Treat 36 Cases of Chronic Pelvic Inflammation

Abstract

Objective: Aim of the study was to observe the effect of acupuncture in 36 cases with chronic pelvic inflammation. Method: 36 cases of chronic pelvic inflammation were treated by acupuncture and moxibustion with Long Dan Xie Gan Tang used as the main form of treatment. Results: The treatment led to a cure with satisfactory results in 9 cases; 16 cases experienced a distinct improvement of symptoms and 7 cases noted a slight improvement; in 4 cases no effect was noted. Conclusion: Acupuncture and moxibustion with Long Dan Xie Gan Tang can be used to treat chronic pelvic inflammation with a curative effect.

Zusammenfassung

Ziel der Untersuchung: Bestimmung der Auswirkungen von Akupunktur bei 36 Patientinnen mit chronischen entzündlichen Veränderungen im kleinen Becken. Methodik: 36 Patientinnen mit chronischer Entzündung des inneren Genitale wurden mit Akupunktur unter Verwendung von Moxibustion und Long Dan Xie Gan Tang behandelt. Therapieergebnisse: Bei 9 Patientinnen war die Behandlung erfolgreich mit einer Heilung abgeschlossen, bei 16 Patientinnen hatte sich eine deutliche Besserung eingestellt, in 7 Fällen konnte eine leichte Besserung des Beschwerdebildes erzielt werden, bei 4 Patientinnen blieb das Beschwerdebild unverändert ohne Besserung. Schlussfolgerung: Akupunktur in Verbindung mit Moxibustion und Long Dan Xie Gan Tang kann erfolgreich bei chronischen entzündlichen Veränderungen des inneren Genitale eingesetzt werden.
