Abstract

Two bicyclic taxanes and two abeotaxanes were isolated from the bark and the needles of the Chinese yew, Taxus chinensis var. mairei. The structures of the two new compounds, 5-(N,N-dimethyl-3′-phenylisoseryl)taxachitriene A and 13-acetyl-9-deacetyl-9-benzoyl-10-debenzoyltaxchinin A, were established by spectral methods.
