Abstract

An antimitotic and cytotoxic lignan deoxypodophyllotoxin (1) has been isolated from the leaves and bark of Myodocarpus gracilis (Araliaceae), together with four other cytotoxic compounds, oleanolic acid (2), betulinic acid (3), bornyl p-coumarate (4), and bornyl ferulate (5).
