Abstract
Three sesquiterpene lactones, thapsigargin (1), thapsigargicin (2), and nortrilobolid (3), and 6-methoxy-7-geranyloxycoumarin have been isolated from the roots of Thapsia gymnesica (Apiaceae) for the first time. The concentrations of the three thapsigargins in the roots and the fruits have been determined by HPLC analysis.
