Abstract
A β-hydroxychalcone 1, so far not reported as a natural compound, was separated from the diethyl ether extract of Leptospermum scoparium (Myrtaceae). Furthermore, three known flavonoids 2-4 were isolated. The 13C-NMR spectra of 2-4 are reported, since they have as yet not been reported in the literature.
Key words
Leptospermum scoparium - Myrtaceae - flavone - flavanone - tautomerism - β-hydroxychalcone - dibenzoylmethane.
