Abstract

Five dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans were isolated from the stems of Kadsura longipedunculata collected in Guangxi province. Three of them are new compounds, named benzoyl-, isovaleroyl-, and isobutyroylbinankadsurin A. Binankadsurin A was isolated from nature for the first time. The absolute configuration of isovaleroyloxokadsurane, a spirobenzofuranoid lignan from K. coccinea, was confirmed by chemical correlation with isovaleroylbinankadsurin A.
