Abstract

A new bitter acylsecoiridoid glucoside, rindoside, has been isolated along with a known iridoid glucoside, loganic acid, from rhizomes and roots of Gentiana scabra var. buergeri. The structure of rindoside was established by chemical and spectral evidence.
