Abstract
Ten flavonoid glycosides were identified in flowers of Heterotheca inuloides (“Mexican Arnica”). Their structures were established by spectral data (UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, mass) and total acid hydrolysis as kaempferol 3-β-glucoside, 3-β-galactoside, 3-β-rutinoside, 3-β-robinobioside, quercetin 3-β-glucoside, 3-β-galactoside, 3-β-glucuronide, 3-β-glucuronide-6″-methylester, 3-α-L-arabinoside, and 3-β-rutinoside. Additionally, caffeic, protocatechuic, and chlorogenic acid as well as umbelliferone were found.
