Abstract

A new iridoid glycoside, 2′-O-(8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2(E),6(E)-octadienoyl)-dihydropenstemide, has been isolated from Penstemon confertus Dougl. Its structure was elucidated by FD-mass, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.
