Abstract

Two new triacyl iridoid diglycosides, named scropolioside A and B (1 and 2), have been isolated from the roots of Scrophularia scopolii var. scopolii. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral data as 6-O-(2″, 4″-di-O-acetyl-3″-O-p-methoxy-trans-cinnamoyl)-α-L-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol (1) and 6-O-(2″-O-acetyl-3″, 4″-O-di-trans-cinnamoyl)-α-L-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol (2).
