Abstract

The aqueous extract of Asparagus cochinchinensis yielded a new oligofurostanoside 3-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-26-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-(25R)-furosta-5,20-diene,-3β,26-diol as well as two known furostanosides, methylprotodioscin and pseudoprotodioscin.
