Abstract
Oddi's sphincter, contracted by morphine hydrochloride (1 mg/kg i.v.) prolapses through i.v. injection of Mentha piperita L., Salvia officinalis L., and Rosmarinus officinalis L. emulsions for doses included between 0.1 and 1 mg/kg i.v.: the time to get back to normal of Oddi's sphincter is accellerated in relation to the dose of the various essences; but the Mentha piperita was found to be the most active essence.
