Triterpenoid Glycosides from the Roots of Patrinia scabiosaefolia

Abstract

Four saponins were isolated from the roots of Patrinia scabiosaefolia (Valerianaceae) and identified as 3-O-α-L-arabinopyranosylhederagenin 28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (2) and its 2′-acetate (1) and 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranosyloleanolic acid (3) and its 28-O-βD-glucopyranosyl(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (4).
