ABSTRACT

Shoulder pathology and its diagnosis must be considered in evaluation of the patient suspected of having thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). Overlooking usually treatable conditions in the shoulder may lead to unfavorable results, if treatment is directed, instead, to neurolysis of the brachial plexus or first rib resection.
