Zusammenfassung
Der doppelte Gehörgang gehört zu den seltenen Überschußmißbildungen. Anhand von 12 Patienten wird über sein klinisches Erscheinungsbild und über seine variable Lage zum N. facialis berichtet. Hinter einem Parotistumor, einer chronisch rekurrierenden Parotitis und hinter Fisteln im Ohr- und Halsbereich kann sich ein doppelter Gehörgang verbergen. Der doppelte Gehörgang kann medial oder lateral vom N. facialis liegen oder auch durch den Fazialisfächer so verlaufen, dass er teils lateral, teils medial von Ästen des Gesichtsnerven zu finden ist.
Summary
The double external auditory canal is one of the rare developmental excess anomalies. Based on 12 patients, its clinical picture and its variable localisation as related to the facial nerve are desribed. A double external auditory canal may be hidden behind a parotid tumor, a chronic recurrent parotitis or ear and neck fistulas. The double external auditory canal may be situated medially or laterally of the facial nerve, or it may run through the facial nerve fan in such a way that it will be found partly laterally and partly medially of the facial nerve branches.
